Becoming a mother (and mothering more than one).

motherhood, mother anxious exciting history of abuse, bad mother good mother

Becoming a mum! what a loaded statement. There is so much we consider as we transition into parenthood. our identity, our relationships, how we were mothered, how we want to mother.  This process occurs each time we have a baby, where we might also consider how to mother multiple children.

This event is all about identifying what we need to help us in this change and if there is anything we can do to help make this the most positive experience possible.

COME ALONG IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT:

  • The physical, emotional and mental changes in becoming a mother.

  • How will it be mothering a baby?

  • How will you balance more than one baby?

  • How your own experience of being mothered can impact on you.

  • Bring your own questions too!

WHO IS IT FOR?

This event is for women with an interest in pregnancy and birth and newborns. This is focused on the needs of expecting mums. Female support people, friends and doulas are welcome to attend. It may also interest women trying to conceive and new mothers.
