Can I hire you as a private midwife?
A. No. At this time I am only practicing midwifery in a hospital setting. I am able to teach antenatal classes, help educate parters and support people uncover how to support women in labour, assist with sleep and settling, and coaching for motherhood. During pregnancy until your baby is 6 weeks old you should be receiving clinical care with your own midwife or doctor.
Do you work all over Sydney?
A. I am able to travel all over Sydney however focus most of my work in the inner suburbs and eastern suburbs.
What kind of work do you do as a childbirth educator?
A. As a childbirth and parenting educator I work with families as we explore normal birth and parenting and share information about routine practices and interventions that are regularly offered to parents during this time.
When we work together privately it all starts with a complimentary scoping session, where you can highlight any areas of particular concern and we can tailor a plan to suit your specific needs. So whether it is your first baby or you have done this several times before we can make sure your time is used effectively and you leave feeling confident and prepared.
