Pregnancy and birth hold immense potential for transformation. I’m honoured to walk alongside you

Midwifery rooted in reverence, relationship, and real life.

I’m Jennifer Hazi, mum to five daughters and a private midwife offering holistic, woman-centred care in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.

I began my journey into birth work in 2007 as a doula, drawn in by the raw power and sacred beauty of women giving birth. It was clear from the start that birth wasn’t just clinical, it was spiritual, relational, and transformative.

By 2014, I had completed my Bachelor of Midwifery and began working across hospitals and community settings. Over the years I’ve been a Clinical Midwifery Specialist, a homebirth mentor, and a caseload midwife at the Royal Hospital for Women. I’ve studied pharmacology, earned my prescribing rights, and gained endorsement as a Medicare-rebatable midwife.

But the deeper calling always whispered. Women deserve more than rushed appointments and fragmented care. So in 2023, I stepped into private practice full time, returning to what I know in my bones that midwifery is a sacred craft best practiced in continuity and community.

A woman with light skin, freckles, blue eyes, wearing a striped shirt and a multicolored headscarf, holds a gong with a mallet in front of her. There is a potted plant in the background.

“Midwifery is not just a service, it is relationship based care. It is grounded in trust, story, and the courage to meet you where you are.”

Mothering, midwifing, and holding space.

My proudest role will always be mother to my five daughters—in all it’s messy, magnificent splendour. Being their mother is the wildest ride of all, and the deepest teacher.

It’s from this place of lived experience, clinical expertise, and reverence for womanhood that I offer care. My work isn’t just about monitoring your pregnancy or catching babies. It’s about walking with you through thresholds of identity, fear, power, and becoming.

I see birth as a rite of passage. And I see you as a whole person, not just a patient.
